Details: Did you know the perfect way to cook a turkey is by putting it in an egg? A Big Green Egg that is.

The Big Green Egg, a fantastic smoker and grill, is the perfect way to cook your Thanksgiving turkey. Fixtures Visions for Living will host the first annual San Diego Egg Fest on Saturday November 7, 2009.

Affectionately known as Egg Heads, fans of this popular ceramic cooker are always ready to join in a party to celebrate the Egg and share cooking secrets. For newbies and the curious, the event will expose you to the wonders of this special barbecue, teach you how to use it, offer tips, tricks and tools.

Open to the public and held in the Fixture’s parking lot, the event, featuring more than 20 Big Green Eggs, will also invite guests to witness an intense competition between regular Joes and celebrity chef Pros as they use the big green egg smokers to create the perfect Thanksgiving Turkey.

Guests at the event will receive special discounts on the Big Green Egg and Egg accessories for sale that day.
